Season Gets Underway with a Wrangler Win
The Peewee A Team got their season underway with a win in Chatham against the Minor Diamonds, posting an 18-3 victory.

Rookies, Brody McRae, Miller Mailloux, and Jack Helps pitched well in their Peewee debuts keeping Chatham players off balance all night as they built up a 15-2 lead through 5inning.  Nate Perry came in to close out the 6th inning and mopped up to complete the game.

(Write up is based on information from scorebook, so if something is left out I apologize)

The game was highlighted by a couple nice double plays on the infield started by Noel Sanderson with a 4-6-3 inning ender and a take it yourself 5-3 double play by newcomer Adam Maitland.

Not to be outdone, Nate " Dogger" Perry stole the show with a diving play down the line to make the highlight of the night.  Will Hull and Jack Helps made some nice catches in the Outfield.

At the plate, the Wrangler Bats scattered 11 hits and were aided by numerous walks as the Diamonds pitchers struggled to find the plate.

Joining the hit parade for the Wranglers were, Maitland (2), Will Hull (2), Zach Wilson (2), Tyler Kerby (2), Jace McGrail (2), and Jack Helps.

Jace capped off the 6th inning with a 3run shot over the fence to right field.

Tristan Nemcek laid down our first bunt of the season in the 3rd and it was a beauty which loaded the bases and led to big 6 run inning.  Noel Sanderson and Reed Douglas had some great situational at bats and moved runners around to keep innings going....btw Dougie..you were safe.

Great start to the season.  The boys are back in action Sunday in Chatham against the Peewee Major Diamonds.
