WMBA governance and policy
All coaching and bench staff shall abide by the governance and procedures established by the Wyoming Minor Ball Association.
Coaches Code of Conduct
I will be reasonable when scheduling practices and other events, remembering that young athletes have
other interests and obligations.
I will teach my athletes to play fairly and to respect the rules, officials and opponents and encourage
them to be good sports.
I will remind my athletes that winning a game or a trophy isn’t the only measure of success.
I will ensure that ALL athletes get appropriate instruction, support and playing time.
I will not ridicule or yell at my athletes for making mistakes or for performing poorly.
I will encourage my athletes, offer constructive criticism, and maintain a positive attitude.
I will remember that athletes play to have fun and must be encouraged to have confidence in
themselves.
I will remember that children need a coach they can respect.
I will remember to set a good example as actions speak louder than words.
I will maintain a supportive attitude and I will be generous with praise and set a good example.
I will not use bad language, nor will I harass or heckle athletes, coaches, umpires, other spectators, or
Club officials by way of emails, voice messages, text messages (including “tweeting”) and social network
postings.
I will demonstrate respect and comply with the umpires’ decisions and decisions of the Discipline
Committee. I understand that while I can request an umpire clarify/discuss a ruling, the final decision
rests with the Umpire.
WMBA PLAYER RELEASES
Try outs:
1. For those players residing in Wyoming Minor (WMBA) baseball’s catchment and wishing to try out for non-house level baseball at another association, players must complete the WMBA player release form for tryout with another association
2. In the event a player is selected onto the roster of another association’s team, a WMBA player release request form must be completed and emailed WMBA President:
[email protected] Please note tryout requests should be communicated well in advance and at least 7 days prior of the tryout date since there may be delays in obtaining approvals. Players may NOT attend tryouts without prior WMBA approval.

Permanent release:
1. For those players wishing to play with an association outside of the Wyoming Minor Ball Associations catchment area, permission must be granted by WMBA, in the form of a player release.
Once the WMBA player release request form is completed by the player/parent, it should be sent to the president of WMBA at
[email protected] who will then sign and forward it to the president of the association the player wishes to join.
Releases are valid for the current year, unless stated otherwise. Please note: this process includes the WMBA board conferring to determine a decision so delays in responding are inevitable. It is strongly suggested to have requests filed weeks before the April 1st deadline.
Note: Player movement requests will only be considered if they are submitted to WMBA before April 1st . Pictures/photos of the completed form are not acceptable.
Only completed PDFs with digital signatures or scanned copies with handwritten signatures are accepted. All requests or inquiries should be forwarded to the present and past president of WMAB at
[email protected].
