WMBA Tryout General Information

To participate in WMBA ALL participants must be registered with WMBA prior to the start of any tryout - this is mandatory, no exceptions apply.
Please see the registration section of our website to complete this.

** Important ** PLAYERS REQUESTING TO PLAY AND TRYOUT FROM OTHER ASSOCIATION
You must complete and submit a "out of centre player request form to tryout" this form can be found on our website

PWSA & OBA ‐ Fall Tryouts
• Tryouts for PWSA & OBA will take place in the Fall of each year;
• Minimum of 3, no more than 5 tryout dates, will be scheduled;
• All registered players of WMBA are welcomed and encouraged to try out;
• Players interested in trying out are to attend and participate in tryouts (special circumstances at Executive discretion ie: illness);

We thank all players for trying out, those who are not successful in making a PWSA or OBA team will have an opportunity to try out for SOBA teams.

SOBA – Fall or Spring Tryouts
Weather permitting SOBA tryouts will also be completed in the fall at the conclusion of OBA tryouts.
• After OBA teams are selected;
• Tryouts for SOBA not able to be complted after OBA tryouts will take place in the Spring of each year;
• Minimum of 3, no more than 5 tryout dates, will be scheduled;
• All registered players of WMBA are welcomed and encouraged to try out; • Players interested in trying out are to attend and participate in tryouts (special circumstances at Executive discretion ie: illness);

We thank all players for trying out, those who are not successful in making a SOBA team will play at the Lambton or River League Level, registration pendant.

Lambton League & River League
As a mandate of WMBA we administer, promote & develop organized minor baseball and softball to U18, and as such our Lambton League and River League teams will be structured into Minor Development and Recreational/instructional teams
• After PWSA & SOBA teams are selected;
• Lambton League and River League division dates will take place in the Spring of each year;
• All players attend, then divided based on skill and ability to travel and attend practices;
• After 2 on diamond workouts, teams will be divided into an A) Minor Development and B) recreational play

If you are a current registered player with WMBA and wish to be released for tryouts or to join another organization, you need to complete a release request with WMBA - this needs to be submitted atleast 7 days in advance of the tryout date with another organization, to allow proper turnaround time.
