UMPIRE - Green Arm Bands
You may see young umpires wearing green armbands as they work ball games this summer.

The idea behind this program is to make sure everyone is working together to help our new officials.
EVERYONE is expected to show good sportsmanship, and body language/tone when questioning a call.

Umpires deserve a safe work environment not only as they learn the game, but always. Without these officials we would not be able to enjoy the game of baseball.

This identifies them to coaches, players, and fans as a new umpire and they are inexperienced and on the job gaining experience.

It is hoped they will be treated with respect and helped along by the teams and their fans as they work on their craft of officiating baseball games to the best of their ability.

WMBA COACHES you are expected to assist officials to understand better any concerns, and help them learn from possible errors.
