Vulnerable Sector Police Check
As an organization that falls under Section 6.3 (1) of the Criminal Records Act; persons under 18 years of age and or, vulnerable persons: a person who, because of his or her age, a disability or other circumstances, whether temporary or permanent,
a) is in a position of dependency on others; or
b) is otherwise at a greater risk than the general population of being harmed by a person in a position of trust or authority towards them.

Wyoming Minor Ball will annually be completing PVSC’s for all coaches, and volunteers.

To be successfully completed and receive this type of check each volunteer is required to complete the following:
 Provide the Lambton Detachment of the OPP, with a signed letter from Wyoming Minor Ball;
o Each letter is individual to the volunteer, and must be personalized and signed by WMB
 Provide the OPP with 2 pieces of ID, from the accepted list;
o Drivers Licence, BYID Card, Canadian Passport, Canadian Citizenship card, PAL card, permanent residency card, certificate of Indian Status, Birth Certificate, Hunting Licence, Outdoors Card, Imigration papers
 Health Cards & SIN cards are not accepted
 Business hours at the Lambton OPP Detachment are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
 There is no cost, as we are a volunteer organization

We understand that not all coaches and volunteers have been determined, with that in mind, to ensure we receive completed PVSC’s we ask that Coaches assist us to ensure all of the bench staff and team volunteers have completed the process by June 1st.

We ask that coaches contact Mandi Pearson ([email protected] ) after the assistant coaches, and team volunteers have been established to provide a list of these volunteers
o Personalized letters will then be completed and returned to the coach, for the volunteer to follow through and receive their PVSC from the OPP
o PVSC’s for all coaches and team volunteers should be completed and returned to Mandi Pearson no later than June 1 st

Note: the Lambton OPP no longer host PVSC clinics, so we appreciate the co-operation of all our coaches and volunteers.

Thank you,
