Wrangler Peewees Win Chatham Diamonds Tournament
The Wyoming Wrangler Peewee A Team went undefeated in 5 games on the weekend to claim top honours at the Chatham Diamonds Peewee Tournament.

Wyoming posted a perfect 3 and 0 record in pool play and hit 10 homeruns out of the park in 3 games.  They advanced to the semi finals to play the Exeter Express.

The Express Squad was a scrappy bunch and never giving up and battling each at bat until the final out.  The Wranglers got off to a slow start and were  little out of sorts making some uncharacteristic mistakes and letting some nerves enter their game.  After a couple innings things settled down and the young Wranglers started playing ball they way they were capable of playing.  The Wranglers would prevail in 7 innings with a score of 7-3.  Pitching for Wyoming was Reid King, Will Hull and Jack Helps. This was the only game in the tournament that Wyoming hitters didn't get a home run but instead relied on solid hits and base running to score their runs.

In the final, Wyoming faced a determined host Chatham Diamonds Team who wanted to win their own tournament in front of the hometown fans.  Wyoming started quick and put some runs on the board and never looked back as they cruised to a 9-2 victory to claim the championship title.  Hitting home runs to help the cause were Jace McGrail, Will Hull, Adam Maitland, and Reid King.  Pitching for the Wranglers were McGrail and Brody McRae.

The Tournament win was a total team effort as every player played a key role in the victories.  Great defense, power hitting, and overall execution of fundamentals helped lead the Wranglers to victory.

Hitting home runs out of the park in the tournament were Hull, McGrail, Maitland, Nate Perry, Tyler Kerby, Zach Wilson, and King. It was incredible to witness 14 home runs over the tournament.  Setting the table with key hits, walks, and bunts were Jack Helps, Miller Mailloux, McRae, Reed Douglas, Noel Sanderson, and Tristan Nemcek.

This group of athletes are fun to watch as they get better and better each week.
