WMBA recipient of a PCF grant announced during virtual New Years levee
It is with great appreciation, we are able to announce that WMBA, along with several local groups and projects is a recipient of this year's annual Petrolia Community Fund New Year’s Day grant announcement.

We are grateful be in receipt of a $1,000 grant towards purchase of new player jerseys.

While this year's recognition was a virtual presentation, due to COVID 19 safety measures. It does not dampen the appreciation or excitement that comes along with this community support.

WMBA relies heavily on donations and contributions received through fundraising to ensure our excellent program continues with pride, and a focus on player development for love of the game.
While with all minor athletic organizations, funds are limited. It has been a goal of the WMBA Executive to replace all player jersey's from Rookie/Squirt to Midget, as the many years of wear are showing, receiving this grant will assist immensely in seeing this come to fruition.

WMB is proud to be the home centre for youth in Wyoming, Petrolia & surrounding area. Our organization has seen great growth in our 'lil Wrangler, Lady Wrangler and Wrangler programs, utilizing home diamonds at Canton & Centennial Park and Greenwood, Kerr & Bridgeview Park.

Enabling our players to wear the W through updated jersey's is an exceptional gift, and one that when each player steps on the Field, whether at home or away, is done with an immense sense of pride and belonging.

"We are a small organization, with exceptional members and a great Executive Board; our volunteer Board Members work extremely hard to ensure our players have the best resources and opportunities" says Matt Helps, WMBA President, noting that "while WMBA may not be as large as the Centre's competed against, once on the Diamond, if you didn't know where WMB players came from, by the end of the game, teams are sure familiar." demonstrating that the size of the Centre does not account for the heart, talent and love of the game that is produced through the WMBA program.

On behalf of the entire Wrangler Organization, we extend our sincere Thank you to the Petrolia Community Fund selection board, and look forward to seeing everyone at the park in 2021.

Happy New Year.
